A few words from the founder:

2008 - Inception

IDEOMEDIA was founded in 2008 in the picturesque city of Brașov, driven by the desire to prove that things can be done differently, better, and more fairly. The idealism typical of my age was triggered by the working environments I was part of, at a time when nepotism and exploitative practices towards employees, insincere and deceptive dealings with clients, were the norm. Having validated skills in design and full-stack web programming, I managed to become a local (freelancer) and even international provider of end-to-end web services right from the start.

Opportunity smiled upon me in 2012 when I secured a small project from the local BMW office, a package of digital advertisements for a campaign launching a new BMW model (on GDN, Facebook, and other local display networks). At that time, I was still a “one man show,” having moved to Bucharest, aiming to increase my visibility in an area with more economic opportunities. I like to believe that my personal ethos and professionalism bore fruit, as the workload steadily increased each year, ranging from diverse projects to campaigns involving newsletters, landing pages, and complex web applications. Gradually, I managed to build an efficient and dedicated team to accommodate the growing workload and expand the range of services offered. This led us to be entrusted with the role of administrator and curator of the websites for the national network of BMW and MINI dealers.

2015 - Renewal

Since then, along with colleagues (some of whom naturally evolved into partners along the way), I committed myself to providing these essential services to SMEs with the same high standards. These standards offer clients security within a limited budget, saving both time and costs. Small and medium-sized enterprises, although cumulatively contributing the most to the budgets of the countries in which they operate, are the most exposed and neglected during challenging economic periods, disproportionately feeling the negative effects. The only way they can navigate these challenges and even thrive is by exhibiting a prosocial ethos based on cooperation and flexibility.

Human values represent the cornerstone of quality, flexible, and adaptive partnerships in an era where change has become a constant. This becomes even more crucial as corporate marketing turns AI, ML, ChatGPT into trendy buzzwords, continuously attempting to reduce human resources through bots and machine learning systems. In this standardized, detached, inflexible landscape, SMEs remain exposed in their quest for quality and affordable services, yet personalized, with dedicated human assistance.

2020 - Spin-off

In the spirit of honest and transparent discourse, I must mention that targeting this specific group is not only driven by humanitarian reasons but also by pragmatic considerations. Naturally, the evolutionary experience we have enjoyed has been marked by challenges. The asymmetrical business relationship between a small firm and a multinational company comes with disadvantages. For instance, an imbalanced negotiation process in favor of the more powerful entity, which has the capacity to unilaterally constrain and terminate the contractual relationship based on criteria unrelated to performance parameters.

Therefore, diversifying the target group is not only a natural but also a necessary choice. However, our principles remain unchanged. We are dedicated to the mission of bringing value and supporting SMEs with the essential services we offer with commitment and professionalism, at affordable costs that allow us to maintain a positive balance, thus adhering to the prosocial principles that every business should embrace.

The foundations of the PROMOVATOR.online project/service were laid in 2020 in response to the economic pressures felt by SMEs and their difficulty in accessing quality and personalized services for maintaining, developing, and expanding their online footprint, both locally and beyond.

We have encountered too many clients who have come to us in unfortunate situations due to unpleasant experiences with numerous other similar service providers. Some had complex issues that couldn't be resolved despite the existence of solutions, while others were kept waiting for weeks, even months, without receiving any feedback on critical matters.

In an effort to maintain attractive costs, we offer card payments only upon request due to the significant commissions charged by payment processors, in which case the client assumes responsibility for covering the associated costs.
